xwd is here at college

I'm a student at RIT. I like computers. I enjoy weird music. I'm a nice guy. This is my blog for stuff I liked, did, made, or thought.
I'm part of I Love Copyleft, where I talk about music I found on the internet on Fridays (usually).
Feel free to ask me questions.

DL Brown Box (Fulgeance Insterstella Funk Remix) by Grillo

cover for fireworks remixes

Alright, even less aggressive breakbeat action this time. Funky, bass-happy, and shuffling beats. This remix takes the original heavy beats, slight electro flavor, and chill atmosphere, sticks a rocket engine on it, and sends it flying and bouncing to a distant star where it is always the 70s and everything is funky. Not too much else, to say, just that it combines crisp percussion, space-age synth bleeps and basslines, and a general massive funky atmosphere. Crank this up by the pool or the largest body of water you can find.

You can get Fireworks and Fireworks remixes over at Homework Records (careful, their page autoplays music). Thanks to Brigitte at Phlow for pointing this out. Phlow is a pretty cool blog, highlighting creative commons works from all over the internet. If you like I Love Copyleft, you might want to stick their RSS feed next to ours.

I kicked around in a pool tonight, I had this song stuck in my head. It was great.
