DL Wilde Maus by Levelheads

cover for SUPA005

Some house for you to start your weekend off right, with a bass-heavy track from house netlabel Supafeed. If you’re curious where the bass is wait until 1:25. It’s in full effect at 2:04. You’ll know it when you hear it. Don’t worry about skipping past the floaty intro part, it just has some nice harmonies with the occasional growl. It’s nice, but nowhere near as nice as the track gets later. What really sells this track is the bassline. Low, squelchy, and aggressive. The way basslines need to be to keep people moving. The track gets really good when the bass merges with the synths from the opening. There’s a slightly trancey breakdown, but I’d use that as the perfect time to introduce your next track and not let the beat drop for a second.

Anyway I’m too busy moving my fat butt around to think straight. If you liked this track you’ll love the rest of Wilde Maus (direct link to .zip, careful there), it’s full of killer basslines like this one. Supafeed’s catalog is entirely house EPs, not all as bassy as this one, but all as housey.

BASS!
